Los Angeles Airport
Los Angeles Airport is located in Westchester, which is about 16 miles southwestern Los Angeles. The airport is commonly referred to as LAX, which is the airport’s code. The Los Angeles Airport provides flight services to Los Angeles, California which is considered as the second most populated area in the United States. It is also the fifth busiest airport in the country and provides direct flights to North America, Latin America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Oceania. The Los Angeles Airport is the center for both the United Airlines and the Alaskan Airlines. You can also find flights by the American Airlines and Southwestern Airlines in the airport. It ranks second among the airports in the United States in terms of international flights since it is able to provide 69 international destinations. The airport also handles the most number of “origin and destination” flights which means that the passenger’s flight is not connected.
The Los Angeles Airport has nine terminals that are placed in “U” shape where passengers are moved from one terminal to the next by the airport’s shuttle. The airport can be reached through the freeway, taxis, vans, buses, metro rail and, of course, private shuttles. There is also the FlyAway Bus which is handled by LAWA that travels between one of three terminals and also stops at each Los Angeles Airport terminal.
